Almond Butter

1 ingredient, 25 minutes. This must be the easiest recipe I have ever done.

Almonds are in my top five of ingredients that I end up buying all the time, just to make sure I have some when I need them. (the other ones are capers, pine nuts and tomato puree) Occasionally I need to use them up before they get too old.


Spread the almonds on an oven tray and roast for 10 minutes at 190C. Leave to cool slightly, place in a food processor and whizz for 10-15 minutes, until it turns into a paste. Done.

You can add sugar or salt, to make it sweet or savoury, but it’s fine as it is.

Almond butter is great on toast. Instead of butter, or with marmalade.
